You can’t stay where you are.

But you don’t know what’s next.

It’s scary to start over.

It’s scary to walk away from the relationship. The person you were sure you’d marry. It’s hard to walk away from the job that isn’t working. (Even harder if the decision to leave isn’t your choice or on your terms.) It’s scary to get the phone call. The one from your doctor. The callback you’ve been avoiding, because it’s the exact news you thought it might be.

If this sounds familiar, hi! I’m Katie, a licensed psychotherapist helping high-achievers start over.

I’ve started over many (many, many) times. From licensing my company in my twenties to surviving a brain tumor in my thirties, I understand what it’s like to shed one identity before growing into the next one. I understand what it feels like to be in between chapters. The messy middle.

But I have some good news for you: this doesn’t last forever.

So, let’s get started. Little by little, I’ll help you reconnect with your intuition, dismantle the patterns holding you back, and refine your sense of purpose, so you can create a life you love.

About Katie

Katie Schloss, AM, LCSW, is a licensed clinical psychotherapist who helps high-achievers start over to create a life they love.

Before becoming a therapist, Katie was the designer behind the Map Collection (licensed to A.JAFFE in 2014), a best-selling line of customized jewelry worn by Allison Williams, Jennifer Lawrence, Jenna Fischer, and Kendall Jenner, among others.

Then came the plot twist.

At 30, Katie’s picture-perfect life was irrevocably changed when she was diagnosed with a 3-inch brain tumor. The experience redefined her sense of self and taught her to find meaning in hardship and purpose in loss. Following her recovery, she attended the Iowa Writers’ Workshop Summer Program and later joined DK, a division of Penguin Random House, where she developed marketing strategies for brands including Disney, Hasbro, LEGO, Mattel, and Warner Bros, pivoting again to earn her master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.

Today, Katie primarily works with C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, young professionals, individuals living with chronic illnesses, and people navigating modern dating. Across these areas, she helps clients feel grounded, find clarity, and build resilience, even when facing unpredictable outcomes.

Blending evidence-based practices, such as ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, Katie has a relational, warm, and insight-driven approach to therapy. Her goal is to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative, deeply human, and supportive, where clients can take vulnerable steps toward real change.
