About Katie

Katie Schloss, AM, LCSW, is a licensed clinical psychotherapist who helps clients navigate uncertainty to create meaningful change.

Before becoming a therapist, Katie was the designer behind the Map Collection (licensed to A.JAFFE in 2014), a best-selling line of customized jewelry worn by Allison Williams, Jennifer Lawrence, Jenna Fischer, and Kendall Jenner, among others.

At 30, Katie’s picture-perfect life was irrevocably changed when she was diagnosed with a 3-inch brain tumor. The experience redefined her sense of self and taught her how to create meaning from hardship. Following her recovery, she attended the Iowa Writers’ Workshop Summer Program and later joined DK, a division of Penguin Random House, where she developed marketing strategies for brands including Disney, Hasbro, LEGO, Mattel, and Warner Bros. Eventually, Katie earned her master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice and began her clinical work.

Today, Katie primarily works with three groups of clients: C-suite executives and entrepreneurs, individuals living with chronic illnesses, and people navigating modern dating. Across these areas, she helps clients feel grounded, find clarity, and build resilience, even when facing unpredictable outcomes.

Blending evidence-based practices, such as ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, Katie has a relational, warm, and insight-driven approach to therapy. Her goal is to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative, deeply human, and supportive, where clients are able to take vulnerable steps toward real change.
